Brought to you by the team behind Social Pantry, Soane’s Kitchen is a restaurant situated in Ealing serving brunch, lunch and dinner. Escape the city and enjoy our menu of seasonal dishes produced here within John Soane’s original¬†walled kitchen garden.

We endeavour to only use the best produce from trusted, local and authentic suppliers. To give you a taste, we use Breckland Brown Eggs from Norfolk Quail Farm, our brunch jam from Butterfly & The Bee is handmade in Wandsworth and the sourdough bread is from Hedone in Chiswick.

We will aspire to grow the majority of our produce in the gardens as we settle into our new site. We hope you enjoy the fruits of our labour as we continue to grow.

Alex Head


Alex Head is the founder and CEO of Social Pantry.¬†Alex’s taste for entrepreneurship started young at the tender age of just 15 when she started selling sandwiches from the back of her bike (named Billy) in Saudi Arabi. Fast forward a few years and Alex now proudly runs an impressive seven sites across London – with Soane’s Kitchen the latest addition to her portfolio.


Social Pantry makes a meaningful impact through the medium of food and Alex works closely with charities and enterprises that naturally connect with the values of the company; offering mentoring, hospitality training and employment opportunities to young offenders, assisting with their rehabilitation and equipping them with the skills they need to succeed; Alex is a proud ex-offender employer, with over 10% of her workforce coming from the Key4Life scheme.
